I’m excited to report I just found out about the 8th Annual Meeting of the European Delirium Association (EDA), which will be held in Leuven, Belgium, September 20-21, 2013. Keynote speakers will be Dr. E. Wesley Ely, MD, a prominent ICU delirium researcher at Vanderbilt, http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/icudelirium/ and Dr. Donna Fick, PhD, professor of nursing, another delirium maven who conducts research on delirium in the setting of dementia, and she’s from Pennsylvania State University, Donna Fick named distinguished professor of nursing | Penn State University.

Among the stellar presentations will be one about pediatric delirium in the pediatric ICU by Jan Schieveld, MD, PhD, who has published on the use of the Pediatric Confusion Assessment Method for the ICU [1].
