Baclofen, Alcoholism Treatment, and Adverse Events: by Medical Student Robert Portley

Here’s a great med-psych presentation about baclofen for alcohol treatment by Arizona 4th year medical student Robert Portley, who we hope will consider pursuing residency at The University of Iowa. The studies about using baclofen for treatment of alcohol abuse suffer from small numbers of subjects, though any attempt at crafting good studies for this population is very much appreciated. There are definitely a potential for adverse effects from using baclofen in this context and Robert does a killer job of pointing them out.
