Hold On ’til I Get There

Well, I’ll be waiting for a call from the Iowa Board of Medicine (IBM) on August 30, 2013 between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM. We’ve rescheduled this telephone conference call a couple of times to discuss my support of lifelong learning and opposition to Maintenance of Licensure (MOL).

Usually both IBM and I have been too busy to connect. I have to hand it to them, because they’ve been holding on to this meeting and have not let it go, reaching out to me every time we missed.

I’m sure you’ve noticed the Milestone countdown widget on my home page. Count down with me and if you have any suggestions to help me out with the 10 minutes I’ll get for the public portion of the meeting, let me know.

I suggested the month of August because I’m off service and it would be easier for us to connect. However, I just found out that August 30th this year is part of our Labor Day holiday. That’s a Friday and gives many a four day holiday–except me. I’m covering the psychiatry consultation service that day.

However, I hope they hold on until I pick up, because I just might be coming back to my office.Telephone time
