New Panopto Presentation for Factitious Disorder and Malingering

panopto_logoThe link above takes you to a new UI Capture Panopto talk I recorded a couple of days ago, “Introduction to Factitious Disorder and Malingering.” I hope to include it in with the other presentation on my Basic Links that I’ve done a couple of years ago.  I also hope it will be on the Iowa Health Pro Network. They’re fun to do, although a bit complicated for a geezer to edit. It will never be approved for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit.

But you know, I don’t care if it is because the topic is relevant to my practice, unlike most of the MOC products I find, which are almost always too expensive.

  1. Great Job Jim,

The audio was a little low in volume on my system, but the Panopto was impressive. I was hoping it was a free Internet service, but notice it is only though your institution. Seems like an ideal interface to me.

    • Thanks, George. I really don’t know how to fix the audio issue; I’ve noticed it too. And you’re right, the Panopto is through our university. The medical student rotating on the consult service told me the other day that a lot of the psychiatry lectures he’s getting are through Panopto.

But there’s nothing like a live audience. I gave the talk today to the junior residents. That was a lot more fun.
