Just Another Reminder: Answer Question 31 on Physician Acceptability Survey on MOL

OK, this is just another reminder that the so-called Physician Acceptability Survey, part of the Maintenance of Licensure (MOL) implementation pilot project by the Iowa Board of Medicine (IBM) will be open until April 21, 2014. In my opinion, it would be dangerous for Iowans if MOL were adopted, which would tie medical licensure to Maintenance of Certification (MOC).

I think it would hurt physician recruitment and retention in our state, because most physicians, while they agree with the principle of lifelong learning, oppose MOL and MOC.Dr. Amos red pants and red socks

The Iowa Medical Society just sent out a message about it:

I’ve finished the survey, including the critically important Question 31: “Please provide any additional comments you might have that are related to this survey or to your overall thoughts about MOL.”

I want to remind all Iowa physicians to please answer all the questions, but especially Question 31. You already know what I said. And don’t forget to sign the petitions:
