Some NICE Delirium Guidelines Gone Away?

I’ve noticed that my top post list contains several which have dead links in them. They are the posts about the NICE guidelines for delirium. The posts are:

“Delirium Awareness Workshop Tools from NICE Guidelines”–12/30/2011

“Delirium Podcast from the NICE Guidelines (also nice)”–12/29/2011

“Delirium Resources on the FLY: NICE Guidelines (and they are nice)”–12/28/2011

The links are key and they’re dead. I’ve added a note to the posts with the message:

ADDENDUM: Unfortunately, it looks like the {slide set, podcast, workshop} file has been deleted from the NICE site. I’ve sent an email message about it to NICE. See the main page –J. Amos 11/10/2016

The posts used to point to NICE web pages with useful information about delirium…but they’ve apparently gone away. Now they’re not so nice.

Sorry; I’ll see what I can do.

  1. Follow up from the NICE people as of this morning around 4:40 AM:

    “Dear Professor Amos

Thank you for contacting the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

Please accept my apologies for these broken links and for any inconvenience caused.

I have asked my colleagues in the web team to investigate and fix the links as quickly as possible.

    Kind regards,”

Addendum: A followup email from Natalie indicated the delirium Pathway is under maintenance, “…and this work includes removing links to individual resources and replacing them with one link to the ‘tools and resources’ page for each piece of source guidance. The updated Pathway is due to publish in early December.”
